فضيلت خواندن سوره عبس:
1. پيامبر اسلام(ص) فرمود:«كسي كه سوره عبس را بخواند روز قيامت در حالي وارد محشر مي شود كه صورتش خندان و بشاش است».(تفسير مجمع البيان جلد 10 ص 435). آشنايي با سوره هاي قرآن – ص 110 – جعفر شيخ الاسلامي.
2. حضرت امام صادق(ع) می فرمایند: اگر کسی این سوره و سوره ی تکویر را بخواند جای او در بهشت و در سایه ی رحمت الهی بوده و از مقرّبان درگاهش خواهد بود. تفسیر اطیب البیان، ثواب الاعمال ص ٢٧٣، وسائل ج ٤ ص ٨٩٤.
3. امام ششم(ع) مروی است: جهت تقویت و روشنائی دید چشم این سوره ی مبارکه عبس را هفت بار قرائت نمایند. خواص الآیات ص ١٤٦.
