A Prayer Inspired by Surah Al-Alaq

Invocation for Blessings and Guidance

O Lord!
Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny, and guide them in a manner that your servants constantly invoke the name of your Creator, the originator and sustainer of creation, utter the praises of the Divine knowledge of God, and remain perpetually grateful for the blessings, favors, and mercies of the unparalleled Creator.

Gratitude for Divine Gifts

O Lord!
Through your abundant grace, enable all your servants to be appreciative and thankful for the great blessings of the sending of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and the Imamate of the immaculate guides, the Imams of the religion, peace be upon them.

Cultivating Divine Understanding

O Lord!
Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny, and nurture your servants in a way that elevates and purifies them, and grants them growth, perfection, knowledge, and awareness, so that they may contemplate the Divine knowledge and wisdom of the creation of sentient beings, be grateful to God, govern their lives with contentment in God, and be guided by Divine wisdom.

Manifesting Divine Perfection

O Lord!
Through your abundant grace, enable humans to be a manifestation of Divine perfections, live with dignity, constantly utter the Most Beautiful Names, draw strength from the perfection of Your Most Beautiful Names, and attain the heights of servitude and obedience to God.

Acknowledging Divine Guidance

O Lord!
Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny, and guide your servants to be appreciative of the blessings of writing, knowledge, and the sending of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. May all be obedient to the perfection and knowledge of the religion of Islam under Your light and guidance, and the directives of the immaculate guides, and serve Your Creator with contentment, so that they may benefit from Divine blessings and not be misled by ignorance, folly, unawareness, vices, or any deficiency that leads to rebellion against Your religion, and thus avoid Divine punishment.

Alignment with Divine Will

O Lord!
Through your abundant grace, enable humans to be so aware and aligned with Your contentment and in harmony with Your will, that they experience no moments of misguidance, separation, rebellion, ignorance, or negligence from acting upon Your directives in obedience to Your religion, so that upon their return to their Creator, their record of deeds may be such that You, O Great and Generous and Merciful Lord, are completely pleased with them, and they themselves are pleased with Your guidance, favors, and the realization of the will of the unparalleled Creator.

Seeking Divine Assistance

O Lord!
Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny, and guide them in a manner that your servants always recognize their need for Your guidance and assistance, and benefit from Your compassion in acting upon Your directives on the straight path of Your religion, and remain grateful for Your blessings.

Avoiding Deviation

O Lord!
Through your abundant grace, prevent your servants from being those who do not act according to Your contentment and prevent others from acting according to Your will in performing the commands of religion, and prevent your servants from obeying the ignorant and disbelievers of Your religion, and from falling into rebellion against Your religion, and from being ashamed before You, and from becoming a cause of Divine punishment for themselves and others.

Universal Acceptance of Islam

O Lord, bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny, and guide them in a manner that Prophet Muhammad and the immaculate guides, the great Imams of Islam, peace be upon them, are constantly pleased with the obedience of humans to the religion of God, and that the highest salutations, blessings, mercies, and forgiveness are constantly bestowed upon them and their followers, and that all humans are always obedient to their Creator, the religion of Islam, and the immaculate guides, peace be upon them.

Global Harmony and Righteousness

O Lord!
Through your abundant grace, enable thinkers and intellectuals to contemplate the perfection of Your creation, and those who perform religious obligations with knowledge and awareness to be steadfast and unwavering in performing their religious duties, and with the realization of the Surahs (Victory, Power, Abundance, Praise, and verses eighty-eight and eighty-nine of Surah Isra’a) and the verses of revelation in creating a virtuous life, all humans and your servants in all eras and periods of life in both worlds are constantly obedient to your religion (which is the religion of Prophet Muhammad and the immaculate guides, the great Imams of the religion, peace be upon them), so that the religion of Prophet Muhammad and the immaculate guides, peace be upon them, prevails over the world, and all people of the world benefit from virtuous governance and a virtuous life, so that all humans and your servants are constantly among the righteous, the knowledgeable, the rememberers, the grateful, the prostrating, the beloved in Your presence, the worshippers, and the righteous servants.

Amen, O Lord of the Worlds, by the sanctity of Muhammad and his pure family.
