A Prayer and Supplication to God, Reflecting on Surah Layl

Invocation:

O Lord! Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his household, and guide humanity to attain elevation through your insights and directives, enabling them to align their thoughts, intentions, words, and actions with the guidance, benevolence, and purity of the Great, Merciful God.

Oath and Supplication:

Lord! I swear by the night as it ends and by the day as it dawns, and by the glory and majesty of the Creator's knowledge, male and female, that all humanity is in dire need of the purity, light, and wisdom of God’s guidance, growth, protection, forgiveness, intercession, health, and well-being from the Creator, Director, Planner, Master, and Lord. Therefore, O Great, Unique, Wise, Knowing, Generous, Most Merciful, and Creator of existence, make humanity such that they embody the qualities of growth, perfection, purity, the finest of forms, and the finest of creations, as a measure.

Supplication for Righteousness:

O Lord! Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his household, and guide humanity so that their efforts and endeavors are harmonious, aligned, and pure, reflecting sincerity, truth, elevation, perfection, growth, purity, piety, and goodness, as you, the Creator and Lord, desire. Let their charities and gifts be acts of kindness, pleasing to God, and let there be no trace of disbelief, malice, impurity, stinginess, envy, greed, vice, weakness, or ignorance that hinders the elevation of human servitude.

Request for Divine Grace:

By your abundant grace, enable your servants to constantly strive with a virtuous effort, deserving of openings, relief, and ease in their lives and worship, and the support of the Imam of Righteousness, Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him. Let humanity never be oblivious to the straight path, aligned with the desires, insights, and directives of the Creator and the Immaculate Guides of God, and may they always be protected from darkness, error, and deviation, and always be safeguarded in the straight path of God’s religion, with the light, knowledge, wisdom, guidance, and power of the Creator.

Supplication for Purity and Guidance:

O Lord! Bestow blessings upon Muhammad and his household, and purify your servants from stinginess, vices, disbelief, polytheism, hypocrisy, ignorance, and unawareness. Elevate your servants to attain such perfection that, with sincere intentions and humble reverence, they act in a manner worthy of being a Shia and follower of God’s religion, to the extent that the Creator of existence is pleased with them, and they are pleased with the elevation of God’s servitude and the worthy benefit of God’s grace and the grace of the Immaculate Guides of God, and all humanity acts in a manner that adorns the servitude of God.

Expression of Gratitude and Request for Divine Favor:

O Lord! I offer boundless praise for your abundant grace, which is the guide, guardian, and raiser of your servants, and you are the Master and Lord, the First and the Last. The administration of the world and the afterlife is entrusted to your divine guidance, wisdom, knowledge, and the qualities of perfect command and management. O Lord! By your abundant grace, prevent your servants from behaving in a way that makes them believe they are independent of doing good deeds, and from becoming wretched and deserving of hellfire. Instead, enable them to constantly act with sincerity and elevation, with knowledge and awareness, in accordance with the desires of their Great Creator, to the perfection worthy of God’s servitude. Let humanity always have pure, good, and pleasing perspectives, words, actions, and influence in all circumstances, places, times, and realms, and let them have such a degree of purity, goodness, knowledge, and awareness that they never forget the desires of God, and are always lovers, eager, and successful in performing good and God-pleasing actions, so that they are always with a purified, pure, and secure soul, that you, the Generous and Merciful God, are pleased with them, and they are pleased with you.

Concluding Prayer:

Amen, O Lord of the Worlds, by the grace and sanctity of Muhammad and his pure family.

اللهم صل علی محمد وآل محمد و عجل فرجهم.
May God grant blessings upon Muhammad and his family and hasten their relief.

اللهم عجل لولیک الفرج والعافیته والنصر صاحب الزمان قائم آل محمد وجعلنا من خیر انصارهی و اعوانهی و شیعته.
O God, hasten the relief, health, and victory of your master, the awaited one, the Qaim of the lineage of Muhammad, and make us among his best supporters, helpers, and followers.
