A Supplication and Intimate Conversation with God (Literary Style)

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Greetings. With the gentleness of a soul resting in Your grace, O Most Merciful God, we are all but tiny particles of Your boundless existence. We see You with the eye of truth, recognizing that You have honored us so greatly that we are immersed in Your favors and blessings, yet we remain heedless of You. We beseech You to grant us the vision to always see ourselves in Your presence, occupied in Your worship, so that we may know You and Your proofs, contemplate Your creation, obey Your guidance, seek Your pleasure, serve Your servants – for these are indeed acts of worship.

You have written the poetry of love upon the scroll of the world, so that humanity may cast aside the veils of ignorance and illuminate their vision with Your light. You are the most beautiful song of love, and we are captivated by its beauty, resting in the cradle of Your mercy. How can I express what happens when a light emanates from You, and You become the most beautiful expression of love? You are the song of morning and night, of dawns, and we become the singers of Your love’s ballad. You are the most beautiful, the home of affection, for the home of the heart is only the home of God’s love. We drink from Your River of Light, and prostrate in gratitude before Your friendship, for In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful – the name of the God whose limitless power bestows grace and mercy, and who, through His absolute guidance, support, and perpetual assistance, plays a pivotal role in the elevation of all creation, especially humanity, towards the best of forms, a blessed life, and the salvation of all creation, especially humanity, forever.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds! The worlds are a manifestation of God’s knowledge, and God is the Lord of the Worlds. If there is growth, if there is elevation and perfection, if there are advancements, inventions, and prosperity in the world, it is through the guidance and elevation of God’s light in illuminating human intellect and through the direct revelation of God, through prophets and the sinless (peace be upon them all). This is the grace of the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

O Most Merciful God, You have bestowed upon the world, through the friendship and affection of Your creation, the life and beauty of Your creation, so that they may worship You and praise You, and not withhold themselves from the deprivation of worship and ignorance of You. You have provided them with programs for life through revelation to Your prophets, confirming their mission with miracles, and continuing the covenant of the mission with Your boundless grace and kindness.

You have showered the highest grace, blessings, and forgiveness upon those who have come to faith through the path of worship, who have acted sincerely, and upon all obedient believers who worship and adore only You, with full awareness, rational perfection, and insight. O God, who is the owner of the Day of Judgment! O God, who illuminates and guides the shining light of the Day of Judgment for Your servants! You have rescued them from darkness with Your guiding verses and, with Your divine management, have enabled them to be successful and supported on the straight path.

How beautifully You speak: Worship Him and from Him seek help. We must all worship You and seek assistance from Your grace, mercy, sustenance, forgiveness, blessings, attention, and guidance, so that we may be guided to the straight path – the path of divine verses, the path of prophets and the sinless (peace be upon them all) – and that You may always make us grateful for Your blessings.

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your blessings, not the path of those against whom You are angry or who have gone astray. How beautifully You have sung the song of love! Glory be to God, praise be to God, there is no god but God, God is the Greatest! You are transcendent from every imperfection and deficiency, and praise be to the God worthy of worship, for there is no god but God. God is greater than anything that can be described.

How beautifully You have sent greetings to Your beloved ones! Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and mercy of God and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of God. Peace be upon you and mercy of God and His blessings, for they too have sung the song of love.

I bear witness that there is no god but God, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O God, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and hasten their relief, and may we be worthy of connection with You, through perfection and purity, and through gratitude, so that You may enable us to sing the song of Your love upon our tongues and hearts, so that You may always have a place in the home of our hearts, so that, with Your light and mercy, darkness and sin may find no place in our souls, bodies, and selves.

When You taught us the purification of the soul with Your illuminating and precious words, and guided us to the straight path, You have bestowed upon us success and salvation in this world and the hereafter, and You have brought servants to the peak of the manifestation of the light of knowledge and wisdom.

Therefore, endless gratitude is due to the boundless grace of Your love, which has taught humanity the degree of worship and guided them so that they may not remain in the whirlpool of misguidance and recognize the right path from the wrong.

Therefore, O generous, merciful, creator, manager, director, and owner of the worlds, through Your profound grace and through Your limitless knowledge and wisdom, have mercy upon Your servants, and always rescue them from misguidance and darkness, and enable them to attain the degree of growth and perfection, and protect them with Your transcendence, light, knowledge, and wisdom, always on the straight path, and measure them according to the best of forms and a blessed life, and enable them forever in Your worship.

Thousands of blessings and gratitude for Your boundless mercies, O Most Merciful of the Merciful! Upon the angels, prophets, and the sinless (peace be upon them all), and upon Your most beloved servants, who obey You, O wise, knowing, hearing, and seeing God, and who support the Imam of Time (peace be upon him) with the grace of miracles and divinity.

Through the perfection of the prophets and the sinless (peace be upon them all), the martyrs, the scholars, the jurists, the scientists, the believers, and the struggles of the fighters of Your path, may all creation act in accordance with the best of forms and a blessed life, always obedient to Your commands and guidance and the proofs of Your time, the Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him), and may they be supporters and helpers of the true proof of the time, the Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him).

Amen, Lord of the Worlds, O Most Merciful of the Merciful, by the sanctity of Muhammad and his pure family. O God, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and hasten their relief.

O God, hasten the relief, health, and victory of Your ally, the family of Muhammad, and make us among the best of his supporters and helpers and followers.
